The Osmond Service and Improvement District (OSID) proposed to expand upon their existing water development infrastructure by constructing a 350,000-gallon water tank and replacing an existing water pipeline. Comment period open through May 1, 2025.

Silver Star has been funded by a USDA rural grant to install fiber optic line along Game Creek, Porcupine Creek, Henry's Road, Horse Creek Mesa, and Horse Creek. Comment period ended 3/24/25.

WYDOT proposes to install a WyoLink telecommunication site near the top of Pritchard Pass to enhance communication in the Snake River Corridor and Hoback area and increase public safety.

Change the grazing system of the Grover Blaney Allotment from a continuous grazing system to a 3-unit rotational grazing system.

The District proposes to upgrade/redesign the entrance road, parking areas, & boardwalk, add accessible parking, create east & west trail entrances, construct a kiosk & shelter and install a gate to manage day use of the area. Comment by 5/21/2024.

Relocate the current Hams Fork Trailhead down to the Hams Fork Campground parking area providing better access and improve the current horse corral.

Relocate current trailhead 200 yards east of its current location, out of a stand of trees, and in an area better suited for a trailhead.

Provide additional and stock parking area for Roaring Creek Trailhead and build a corral adjacent to the parking area.

Expand the current parking area, install picnic shelters with ADA-compliant picnic tables and grill pits. Improve current trail to ADA compliant and build viewing areas/overlooks.

A-OK Corral requests to make improvements by burying a water line and hardening their parking area at their base camp, and adding horse grazing to their upper camp. Jackson RD proposes to harden the public trailhead area next to the base camp.

Jackson Ranger District in partnership with Wyoming Game and Fish propose to construct two temporary steel fences to enclose riparian areas and promote revegetation on Horse Creek within the feedground on NFS lands.

Partnership between the Forest Service and Trout Unlimited to improve fish habitat and connectivity by redesigning diversion dams on Lava Creek.

Installation of a vault toilet at the Big Spring day use area.

The district proposes various treatments to increase fuel breaks along busy roads. These treatments support fire management that is economically efficient, responsive to land management objectives and provides for public and firefighter safety.

The forest, collaborating with BLM and WGFD, proposes to broadcast burn approx. 1400 acres to reduce conifer overstory and promote Aspen suckering. Desired vegetation conditions include reduced fuel loading and improved desirable wildlife habitat.

Granite Creek corridor: construct parking area at Granite Falls, restore, rehab and construct 2.5 mi of trail to bypass Granite Hot Springs, re-design winter parking area. Proposal also includes changes at Mosquito Creek corridor & Dog Creek sites.

The permittees propose to build two drift fences on the Grover- Blaney allotment, a corral extension on Spring Creek Allotment and one wing addition to corrals on Little Greys Allotment to improve livestock distribution and collection during round up

Forest Service, Trout Unlimited, & WGFD install post assisted log structures & beaver dam analogs in Meadow Creek, a tributary to Steer Creek, to address sedimentation, stream channel issues & restore cutthroat trout habitat.

The Jackson Ranger District proposes to realign sections of the Big Munger Trail to lower grades, as well as furrow in the deep sections of trail and add new drainage to prevent future erosion, in partnership with Crosscut Trails and Forestry.

The Snake River Sporting Club Improvement and Service District proposes to replace the existing damaged bridge with a new two-lane bridge, about 28 ft wide and 375 ft long.

100 mile point-to-point ultramarathon footrace in July, from Afton, WY to Jackson, WY via Forest system roads & trails & county roads. Several routes would be analyzed in case of fire or washout conditions to be avoided. No comments were submitted.

Sublette County Road & Bridge Department requests a permit renewal for a gravel pit used for ongoing public road maintenance in the Bondurant area. The existing gravel pit is approximately 9 acres with 4 acres of new disturbance.

Union Telephone requested authorization to add facilities and equipment to WyDOT's existing Salt River Pass Communication Site. Two prefabricated structures, propane tank, & equipment would be installed on cement pads. The site is less than 1 acre.

Special use permit for temporary staging related to the replacement of existing "Swinging Bridge" with a new structure by WDOT. There will also be realignment and/or reconstruction of the roadway at the bridge approach.

Federal Highway Administration and Forest Service will rehabilitate deteriorating pavement conditions, correct drainage issues, and improve safety on 4.2 mi of Skyline Drive to upper parking area of Elkhart trailhead and 1.5 mi of Fremont Lake Road.

Temporary Forest gravel pit (7 ac) would be developed to provide material for resurfacing the Union Pass and Green River Lakes Rds, then reclaimed. Material would be crushed & gravel stockpiled at Kendall Guard Station by contract or county agreement

A-OK Corral proposes to move its guided horseback ride operation from Horse Creek to the North Fork of Fall Creek area. A-OK would operate within the existing base camp and existing permit area. Several improvements are proposed. Comment by 5/5/23.

Snow King Resort proposes to relocate the demonstration zipline from the summit to the Raftery lift mid-station area to allow guests a more gradual progression in zipline difficulty. SKMR would reclaim the area at the summit.

JHMR proposes to increase skier/staff safety and grooming efficacy by recontouring 18 acres of ski runs. The proposed action includes blasting, grading, tree removal, road construction, and snowmaking pipeline installation. Scoping ended 1/31/23.

Hoback Ranches Service Improvement District (HRSID), proposes to extract, crush, and stockpile gravel at the northern end of the North Fork Fisherman Creek gravel pit. Total surface disturbance would be 5 acres.

WY Dept of Environmental Quality, Abandoned Mine Land Division, has proposed remediation work at the Blind Bull Mine, to include closure of an adit under FS Road 10123,removal of surface coal slack piles from the drainage bottom and burial onsite.

The Jackson Ranger District is continuing the leash law requirements enacted in 2016 in the Cache Creek, Nelson Drive and Teton Pass areas. Special Order 04-03-334 was signed on February 28, 2023.

Two local SKE facility owners are requesting to upgrade their outdated tower equipment and respective facility buildings.

Authorizing a 1-day kayak slalom event on the lower Greys River, using existing hardened areas for participants and spectators. Gates would be removed immediately following race. This is a long-standing event. A permit was issued for 5 years: 8/2027

Maintain in-stream irrigation diversion and ditch realignment from Phase I and add more bank stabilization measures on the upper Hoback River.

Limber Pine Outdoors, LLC, proposes to hold a 100-mile footrace from the antler arch in Afton, WY to the antler arches in Jackson, WY primarily via forest roads and trails.

Add 1 small, wide kids' loop using mini-excavator and trail dozer, plus 3 technical expert loops using hand tools to construct and sign one-way single-track routes. Partners include Crosscut Trails & Forestry & AMPL.

Pinedale Ranger District received a request for an access road to private property along the Fremont Lake Road (FS RD 741). The right of way would be 14'x 90' and constructed in the summer of 2022. Comments requested by 10/29/21 using comment link.

Improvements and upgrades to resort facilities, including event and storage barns, 3 new prefab cabins, water lines, septic and power.

JHMR has proposed 5 projects for summer 2022 to improve operations: Laramie Traverse widening at Flip Point; Thunder lift replacement with run upgrades; North view platform installation; road realignment at Ready-Mix Corner; water sewer lines

Eliminate the gap in early winter and early spring regulations by making the entire Teton Division Winter Travel Map effective 12/1 - 5/1 (6:00 am). Designate area open to snowmobiles til 12/15 for bison hunting on Blackrock Ranger District.

Expand existing tack shed roof by 50 ft. (and 20 ft. in width) which will be held up by wooden posts with concrete footings. In addition, a 10' roof overhang to the west side is proposed to allow horses to be tied up out of the weather and mud.

Extend one existing rock breakwater by 235 ft. and installing a new rock breakwater to the west which would be 309 ft. long to accommodate 39 additional boat slips approved in 2005 Master Development Plan.

District proposes to utilize hand grubbing to remove non-native watercress in Kendall Warm Springs in three phases: pilot, treatment, maintenance, to improve habitat for endangered fish species.

The Pinedale Ranger District would replace a deficient 80-foot long trail bridge in the Bridger Wilderness, approximately 13 miles north of Elkhart Trailhead on the Continental Divide National Scenic Trail. A MRA has approved helicopter use.

Proposed reauthorization of grazing on the Sweetwater, Blucher Creek, and East Squaw Creek Cattle and Horse Allotments. The final decision is available.

Rejuvenate small (1/4 to 1/2 ac.) patches of aspen to improve wildlife habitat by cutting encroaching mature conifers. Work will be done by hand with chainsaws; no motorized travel through roadless areas.

To add an 80 ft. tower capable of 20 ft. extension, propane tank, 8x16 ft emergency power generator building and 11x20 foot equipment shelter within current site footprint. Would use xcountry access from private on south. Geotech survey needed first.

Control of noxious and other invasive plants through the integration of manual, mechanical, biological, and ground and aerial herbicide control methods. The final Record of Decision is available.

This project proposal to update the Forest Plan with the "Bighorn Sheep Conservation Standard" has been cancelled and will be revisited when the Bridger-Teton National Forest revises the Forest Plan.

Wyoming Game & Fish Commission requests continued use of the Dell Creek feedground facilities for winter elk management activities. FS proposes authorizing temporary use while developing an EIS to analyze environmental effects of long term use.

Improve hydrologic connectivity and aquatic organism passage throughout the North and South Cottonwoods watersheds. Habitat improvements including culvert replacement/removal will occur where road network is impeding or impounding natural flow path.

Reconstruction of ski lodge following a structure fire, to include installation of underground water tank to better support sprinkler system, and upgraded underground electric supply line for powering it.

The Town of Afton is proposing to become the entity responsible for the historic Afton Star structure on a hillside above town, replacing existing structure, installing power for lighting and fiberoptic for a webcam. Project in inventoried roadless.

Thirteen trails projects would include 1 new non-motorized route (Granite Falls), 4 non-motorized reconstruction projects, 1 motorized trail reconstruction , and 7 maintenance projects, including widening Shadow Mountain motorized system to 64".

Jackson Hole Mountain Resort submitted a proposal to increase the number of guided backcountry skiing user days within the boundary of its current outfitter guide permit area, from 1,200 to 2,400 user days.

Replace and realign dilapidated headgate on Hatchet Ditch; Replace riprap along levee with bioengineered bed and bank stability structures, install fish screen, consistent with Blackrock Creek's Wild and Scenic River designation.

Five improvements to existing ski runs: Rendezvous Trail widening,Bird-In-The-Hand upgrade, Hoback Trail entrance upgrade,Cheyenne Gulley exit upgrade, and Lower Sublette Ridge trail upgrade. One summer trail: North Ridge hiking trail.

Five infrastructure additions: A new ski patrol station under the top Tram dock. A new garage for the Rendezvous Peak snowcat. A new kids play zone at Solitude Station. Viewing platforms on Rendezvous Peak. Relocation of an Avalanche Pipe Cannon.

A bridge would be constructed on FS Trail #6072 allowing 64 inch wide motorized vehicles to cross Blackrock Creek, winter and summer to connect with FS road #30100, protecting the designated Wild and Scenic Blackrock Crk.

Snow King Resort proposes to update facilities and develop winter & summer recreation opportunities- includes permit boundary expansion, guest service building at summit, additional lifts & ski runs, bike park and trails. FEIS & Final ROD available.

The Gaffney Irrigation Ditch would be realigned away from actively eroding Buffalo Fork River bank to limit potential for infrastructure damage and maintain water delivery systems, and include fully re-grading and re-planting with native vegetation.

For the winter 2020-2021 season, the Forest is evaluating a Heart 6 Ranch proposal to utilize a portion of their existing snowmobile service days for sled dog rides on the currently approved designated route upstream along Buffalo Fork River.

Remove existing overhead power poles and install electric underground distribution lines in 3 areas on Blackrock Ranger District.

Silver Lake Irrigation District proposes to use a tracked drill rig and a tracked excavator to perform geotechnical tests on the dam and borrow sites to determine potential actions and complete short-term repairs.

Four borings would be drilled in Leeks Canyon bottom area to 35-45 feet, requiring a track-mounted rotary rig, and 2 monitoring wells installed to collect measurements. Installation 2020: 5-7 work days; monitoring during 6 days the following summer.

Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT) Avalanche Hazard Mitigation Program has proposed installation of a non-permanent, seasonally placed, wind speed measurement station and tower near the summit of Mount Glory, north of Teton Pass.

Capturing and radio collaring 20 adult female sheep within the Bridger Wilderness via helicopter in hunt area 8 during months of December and March; capture and collar neonate lambs by foot/horseback. Study duration 5 years.

Reauthorization of grazing on 17 sheep allotments on the Kemmerer Ranger District. The Forest Service withdrew its NOI to prepare an EIS on 7/28/2020 with a notice published in the Federal Register. This project is cancelled.

Trail reconstruction projects including potential trail reroutes around problem sections and bridge replacement. Trails: Crystal Creek, Upper Cache Cr, Horse Cr, Fuzzy Bunny, Jimmy's Mom, Powerlines, Crankshaft, Horsetail, Big Munger, Slate Creek.

Three elements of existing infrastructure are proposed for relocation, 2 mountain bike trails are proposed, and slope stabilization for adjacent private hotel would utilize underground soil nail installation.

Construction of a 450-foot long by 5-foot wide drainage ditch using a track hoe, to mitigate the Munger Mountain landslide that is affecting South Highway 89.

Jackson Hole Mountain Resort has proposed to enhance the Moran Face area with minimal tree removal, and wooden jumps and landings; along with installation of a vault or composting toilet. Construction would be during summer 2020.

The proposed trail is in the Sweeney Creek area just off of Skyline Drive, 8 miles east of Pinedale. The 64-inch Sweeney Creek Connector would be 1.5 miles in length and would connect Forest Service Roads #744 and #744A.

Tepee Creek Timber/Fuels project includes the thinning of timber and reduction of fuels on approximately 100 acres adjacent to the Tepee Creek Cow Camp, and realignment of up to 0.5 mile of the Union Pass Road for access.

Allow for snow clearing on FS Rd. 30994 and installation of signage limiting use to homeowners in order to accommodate existing winter recreational trail activities.

Relocate southern trailhead of the Wyoming Range National Recreation Trail located in Snyder Basin/South Piney Creek Drainage along Forest Service Road #10128A. Construct parking lot and 2.5 miles of trail connecting the new trailhead to the trail

Site for long-term gravel extraction, processing, and stockpiling. The gravel would be used in part for maintenance of a proposed public agency right-of-way for the LaBarge Creek Road where it crosses private lands adjacent to the Bridger-Teton NF.

Commercial timber harvest to remove dead/dying trees >3 inch DBH; regenerate to lodgepole seedlings naturally or via planting.

The Wyoming Game and Fish Commission requests authorization to operate and maintain the elk feedground at Alkali Creek for emergency feeding only. District Ranger Moore signed her decision on 12/13/2019.

Relocation of Clarks Draw Trailhead and associated trail work; various vegetation treatments on and around Monument Ridge. Project developed with Sublette County Collaborative group.

Recover value of fire-killed trees and remove excessive fuel loading in an area under 250 acres through a commercial timber sale with less than a half mile of new temporary road. Improve aspen stands through resprouting and conifer removal.

After the 2018 Roosevelt Fire, commercial overstory removal of dead and/or dying trees in an area of approximately 100 acres, with no more than a half mile of new temporary road construction. Regeneration will be either natural or planted lodgepole.

Restore and reconnect 15 miles of Salt Creek and tributaries by adjustment or removal of structures, connecting floodplains and riparian areas, and improving in-stream fish habitat and connectivity.

The existing primary power system feeding the snowmaking compressor building is near capacity. LVE and JHMR propose to install an additional buried power line from a building at the base to the existing air compressor building near Antelope Flats run

To reduce the size and height of the snow drift that forms under the travel path of the tram, JHMR proposes to remove vegetation from less than 1 acre, harvest weathered rocks, recontour the terrain, dispose excess material and reclaim the site.

Fuels management, such as, prescribed fire and cutting and thinning of vegetation for fire hazard reduction and restoration/maintenance of fire adapted ecosystems. DEIS, August 2015. Final EIS, draft decision and objection filing, Feb. 2017.

Authorize use and maintenance of an existing cabin, 9000 feet of access roadway, 2000 feet of fencing, and 6.6 acres of sub-irrigated hayfield.

Authorize Wyoming Game and Fish Commission to continue to operate and maintain the elk feedground at Alkali Creek for one year, the 2018-2019 season.

To permit a half marathon foot race with up to 375 participants on Saturday, July 13, 2019, with 2.1 miles on FS road 10081 (Bedford-Turnerville Rd), beginning at top of Grover Park and ending in Thayne, WY off of FS land.

Authorization of one existing gas well & construction of approximately 1,200 feet of buried pipeline. The final decision on the FS portion is available.

Remove 4 culverts in the Upper Greys River watershed that are creating barriers for aquatic organism passage: three will be replaced with concrete box culverts and one near Shale Creek will be replaced with a bridge.

Blackrock Ranger District is evaluating a proposal by Heart 6 Ranch, a Recreation Resort Permittee, to construct 1 new barn and 4 guest cabins. These would replace 1 hay barn, 2 small saddling barns, and 2 larger cabins. Area disturbed is 0.22 acres.

To authorize a special use permit (SUP) for an irrigation water ditch for an existing use that is tied to water rights from 1910 and associated with a horse pasture that is located on WGFD land.

To authorize a special use permit (SUP) for a sign for use associated with an existing easement. The sign is necessary for emergency services and mail delivery to efficiently recognize the property.

Reroute of Big Munger Trail (#4205) to create a sustainable multi-use trail to the top of Munger Mountain (7.2 miles).

Re-location of approximately 15 miles of the Continental Divide National Trail (CDNT) from open roads on the Shoshone National Forest to the Bridger-Teton National Forest to meet the intend of the CDNT to provide a non-motorized experience.

The Forest Service proposes to construct a bridge for both recreation use and livestock crossing on the Old Indian Trail at the Maki Creek stream crossing.

Continue to authorize livestock grazing within the Labarge Creek allotment in a manner that will continue to meet or move forest resources toward desired conditions. The NEPA analysis for this project has been cancelled.

The September 2009 Decision to reauthorize livestock grazing on the allotment was reversed on appeal. The reauthorization project is cancelled; grazing continues.

Reroute of the Sheep Gulch Trail (#4072C) located in Snake River Canyon. The trail is part of the river facility which serves as a take-out for river use.

Harvest of dead and dying trees infested with spruce beetle in the wildland urban interface zone to prevent the spread of infestation and subsequent increase in fuel loading adjacent to the resort.

Commercial harvest of timber suffering mortality and decline due to insect and disease infestation.

The Star Valley Ridge Riders, a volunteer group operating under the Rocky Mountain Snowmobile Hill Climb Association (RMSHA), is proposing to continue hosting its annual three-day public event, once each winter when sufficient snow is available.

Improve management of motor vehicle use within the Middle Greys River area by designing a system that provides quality trail riding opportunities while also reducing resource impacts and encouraging citizen stewardship to maintain the system.

Three miles of trail reconstruction and trailhead reconstruction of the Bear Trap Trail as part of a larger Commissary Ridge Trail maintenance project.

Improve management of dispersed camping and update the Motor Vehicle Use Map in selected locations of the Blackrock and Jackson Ranger Districts to prevent expansion of campsite impacts and improve the quality of visitor experience. Comments due 7/20

The proposed site upgrade will replace the existing 60-foot tower with a 150-foot self-supporting tower in support of the new Sublette County Interoperable Public-Safety Radio Communication System.

Placement of approximately 4.5 miles of buried and 2.5 miles of aerial fiber optic cable by Silver Star Communications in the Buffalo valley area; aerial cable will be on existing utility poles.

Fuels reduction treatments with equipment & prescribed burning. The treatments will reduce the risk of high severity wildfire and increase public and firefighter safety.

Exchange of approximately 45 acres of federal land in the Gros Ventre River drainage for approximately 95 acres of private land further up the drainage. The EA and Draft Decision are available. Final Decision was signed on 6/15/2018.

Creation/improvement of mountain features/facilities including ski runs, lifts, snow making, avalanche control and summer trails, all of which have received conceptual approval as part of the updated Master Development Plan.

Combination of mechanical treatments and prescribed fire to improve the health of forested stands, salvage dead and dying trees, enhance wildlife habitat, reduce fuels, and remove hazard trees along roads. It also adds six miles of existing routes.

The Kemmerer Ranger District proposes to replace two culverts in the LaBarge Creek Watershed for the purpose of improving fish passage, flood capacity and road infrastructure

Authorize a Surface Use Plan of Operation to drill one natural gas exploratory well on an existing unit and lease.

True Oil has submitted the Lander Peak Exploration Proposal for two exploratory wells; one from an existing pad and one from a reclaimed pad. EA and draft decision were released in April 2017 and objections were received.

Installation of a vault toilet within the existing permit boundary; no additional road construction or maintenance would be needed.

Inventory, development and implementation of a management plan to address resource concerns regarding dispersed recreation use and roaded access within the Green River corridor; including camping restrictions and travel management updates.

Commercial thinning of 70 ac. of lodgepole pine and mixed conifers to the west of Apperson Creek. Project proposes to increase structural diversity, manage hazardous fuel loading, & salvage forest products. Construct a half mile of temporary roads.

Issuance of 2 new recreation event permits: Winter Non-Motorized Race and Pinedale Sled Dog Classic (relocation).

Replacement of the Teton Village Water and Sewer District's 50 year-old Esther Pump Station.

Providing special use permits for commercial, guided, day-use bank fishing on non-wilderness segments of the Buffalo Fork River, Blackrock Creek, Spread Creek and Pacific Creek on the Blackrock Ranger District.

Grooming of 3,700' of cross-country ski trail on FS System land adjacent to the Triangle X Ranch; grooming will be by snowmobile and drag groomer on an existing roadbed; open to the public at no charge, but not open for public snowmobile use.
