The proposed action includes activities designed to stabilize areas along Bullion Canyon Road effected by the 2024 Silver King wildfire. These measures include flood mitigation measures to protect the town of Marysvale.

The Fremont River Ranger District is proposing vegetation and habitat improvement projects to improve landscape health and resiliency to support wildlife, aquatic, and watershed resources.

The purpose of this proposal is to reintroduce fire to fire-adapted ecosystems within the forest. There is a need to take action to improve the health and resiliency of vegetation communities and wildlife habitats and increase public safety.

The Richfield and Fremont River Districts propose conducting prescribed fire operations within Ponderosa Pine and Aspen stands in the East Old Woman Plateau and Pine Hollow areas.

The Fillmore Ranger District is working with the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources to improve winter forage for Mule Deer by planting and seeding various native shrubs on approximately 180 acres of NFS land near Oak Creek Canyon.

Zanskar proposes to use passive seismic survey equipment to gather baseline data on potential geothermal lease parcels near Cove Fort, UT.

The Fremont River Ranger District proposes to realign less than one mile of road and rehabilitation the closed portion of the road. The project is needed to address ongoing erosion and improve safety.

The Fremont River Ranger District is proposing to authorize a special use permit for the NRCS to install of a SNOTEL monitoring site on Boulder Mountain.

DT Mining proposes to upgrade 0.6 miles of road and construct one drill pad in support of mineral exploration activities on their mining claims southwest of Marysvale Utah

Fishlake NF is proposing a forest-wide prescribed fire project to reduce the risk of uncharacteristic wildfires, increase resilience of existing vegetation groups, and improve ecological function in native vegetation communities and wildlife habitats

Fremont River Ranger District proposes authorizing a special use permit for the extension of a fiber optic line from Fish Lake Lodge to Bowery Haven.

The Beaver Ranger District proposes to make range improvements for the purpose of improved livestock distribution.

The Fillmore Ranger District will analyze three alternatives to inform a decision of grazing management on Flat Canyon Allotment. Proposed alternatives include current management (winter sheep grazing), conversion to cattle grazing, and no grazing.

T-Mobile has requested to co-locate on a currently permitted communication site near Oak City. A small expansion has been requested to make room for needed equipment.

The Forest Service is proposing to improve two existing campgrounds at Fish Lake, Bowery Creek and Mackinaw Campgrounds.

USFS federal action to decide whether to consent to the BLM three parcels for geothermal resources.

The Fremont River and Fillmore Ranger Districts propose installing a single unit restroom facility at two locations receiving high traffic, Sand Creek Trailhead and Beehive Peak Overlook, to address sanitation issues and improve visitor satisfaction.

The Fillmore Ranger District proposes to install post and rail fence around Ivie Creek from the Maple Grove Campground northeast to the forest boundary, excluding Forest Road 886 and hardening the road over a stream crossing to protect stream habitat

The Fishlake National Forest proposes the installation of a up to two fish passage barriers on Pleasant Creek Ditch to protect Colorado River cutthroat trout. The barriers will be constructed from boulders on site.

The Fremont River Ranger District proposes to install exclosures on three springs and pipe water to three troughs and one pond to eliminate direct use at these springs by livestock which has damaged riparian vegetation and diminished water quality.

Kent's Lake Ditch Company is proposing to install a measuring weir with a small solar panel on Merchant Creek near Big John's Road (FR123) and FR 1062. This will provide an accurate measurement of water flow in the drainage.

Circleville and Torrey Towns need to improve their culinary water supply for their residents. Cottonwood Springs will be redeveloped and a waterline replaced for Circleville. Torrey will install a new water tank and waterline.

DT Mining LLC has proposed a .9 mile extension of FS Road 1108. The extension would follow a previously decommissioned route. The project would consist of grading the entire .9 miles and widening of the road in needed locations.

The Fishlake National Forest proposes the installation of a new fish passage barrier on Lower Bown Ditch to protect Colorado River cutthroat trout which will be restored in Pleasant Creek. The barrier will be constructed from boulders on site.

The Beaver District of the Fishlake National Forest is proposing to authorize mining exploration to DT Mining, LLC, which consists of 13 exploration drill pads (with drill depths of approx. 5,000 ft.) near Deer Trail Mountain in the Tushar Range.

The Fishlake National Forest proposes to authorize the installation of an NRCS SNOTEL site on the Fillmore Ranger District to gather automated data to improve knowledge of current and future climatological conditions for a variety of users.

Fish Lake Resorts proposes to demolish their existing marina building and replace with one slightly larger (20' x 40')approximately 30 feet southeast of the existing building. A larger marina structure is needed to provide services for the marina.

The Fishlake National Forest is proposing a recreation improvement project which includes boat docking stations, Pando interpretive plazas, electric bicycle (e-bike) trail designations, new trails, and fuels reduction in recreation residence tracts.

Bowery Haven Resort requested modifications within their permitted area: construct a larger pavilion where one was removed, replace a single-wide with a double-wide modular home for staff housing, and install a temporary, portable office building.

Fishlake National Forest proposes to authorize a special use permit to Utah Communications Authority for the installation of a new communications tower at the existing Triangle Mountain communications site to provide public safety radio coverage.

Rebuild the existing DWR cabin on NFS land. The proposed project consists of removing the existing cabin, building a new cabin with a deck, improving the parking lot, and installing a new water line.

The purpose of this project is to improve livestock distribution and control on the North Indian, North Beaver, Ten Mile and Cottonwood Allotments.

The Fremont River and Richfield Ranger Districts are proposing a vegetation improvement project to create and maintain healthy and resilient spruce-fir stands by removing dead/dying Engelmann spruce, thinning live trees, planting spruce where needed.

Amend Garkane Power Special Use permit to remove 2,470 feet of overhead powerline and replace with 380 feet of buried line

The U.S. Forest Service, Fishlake National Forest, Richfield Ranger District, is proposing to reauthorize livestock grazing on the Koosharem, Rock Springs, Dry Lake, and Hunts Lake Allotments.

The Fillmore Ranger District proposes to implement vegetation treatments designed to thin decadent stands of sagebrush in order to rejuvenate grasses, forbs, and shrubs which will improve big game habitat and ecosystem diversity and resilience.

To ensure that the town of Torrey continue to supply its residences with water the Fishlake NF is proposing to develop four spring complexes with eight spring collection areas. Pipeline would then be installed to connect to existing water lines.

The Fremont River Ranger District proposes to construct a fish passage barrier on UM Creek between Mill Meadow and Forsyth Reservoirs. The barrier built of boulders on site will protect the Colorado River cutthroat trout population in the stream.

Union Pacific Railroad has a current lease with the Forest Service for a communication tower. The current tower does not meet current Telecommunications Industry Association standards and a new tower with a solid leg structure needs to be built.

Pinyon-juniper removal on the Fishlake National Forest to improve and maintain sage-steppe, grassland, oak, and open woodland cover. Treatments include hand-cutting, mechanical and prescribed burning to address encroachment.

Fishlake and Dixie National Forests propose granting a special use permit to South Central Communications (SCC) for the construction and operation a fiber optic line which would run from Boulder to Torrey to increase telecommunications services.

Aspen ecosystem restoration project on Monroe Mountain to promote the regeneration and recruitment of aspen. Treatments include mechanical and prescribed burning to address conifer encroachment and thresholds/response options to address overbrowsing.

The Fishlake National Forest is proposing to grant a special use permit to South Central Communications (SCC) to install, operate, and maintain a fiber optics line which will run along existing road right-of-ways in the Fish Lake basin.

To improve marinas facilities at Lakeside, Fish Lake Lodge, and Bowery Haven marinas, increase opportunities for shoreline fishing, and to provide increased viewing opportunities for kokanee spawning.

The Fishlake National Forest is proposing to reduce conifer encroachment into sage-grouse priority habitat by using mechanical treatments and broadcast burning, with seeding as needed. Up to six guzzlers will be installed for wildlife and game use.

The Fishlake National Forest is proposing to implement prescribed fire treatments in seral aspen stands to promote the regeneration and recruitment of aspen communities. A mosaic burn pattern with a variety of fire severities is desired.

The Fillmore Ranger District is proposing to create a mountain bike trail system west of Richfield, Utah. The proposed 83 miles of bike trail, built to specific trail standard, will have seven trailheads and signs to inform riders of active grazing.

As required by regulation, the Beaver Ranger District must respond to an exploration plan of operations submitted for two mining claims. As such, the district is conducting an environmental analysis for this proposal on National Forest System lands.

Improve big game wildlife habitat on the east side of Monroe Mountain by removing encroaching pinyon and juniper trees from the brush, grass, and forb areas.

The Beaver District Ranger is proposing to implement a pit management plan for the North Fork of North Creek Mineral Material Pit, which will define future development, production, and reclamation in order to respond to requests for permits.

The Fillmore District Ranger is proposing to construct two wildlife guzzler aprons with storage ponds and pipelines to increase water availability and distribution across the north end of the Canyon Range for wildlife.

Fishlake National Forest is proposing to do an intermediate harvest of dead Engelmann spruce (ES) in addition to timber stand improvement and planting of ES after harvest. This will provide wood fiber while maintaining or improving stand conditions.

The BLM and U.S. Forest Service are preparing an environmental assessment to analyze the impacts of a request by Canyon Fuel Company, LLC to modify the lease boundaries for federal coal leases UTU-84102(Greens Hollow)and U-63214(Quitchupah).

Create a public OHV route that provides OHV access to area destinations by connecting existing system and non-system trails or roads where public or administrative use exists. Designate FR 100 and FR 089 to open to all off-highway vehicles.

The Fishlake National Forest is proposing to grant the University of Utah a research permit which will allow them to drill two scientific boreholes for thermal gradient, fluid samples and rock chips east of Cove Fort. Existing roads will be used.

Move TR 2043 out of riparian area: decommission 0.4 mi FR043 and TR 2043, install 3 bridges, culvert and vehicle barriers; convert 0.6 mi TR 2043 to non-motorized; add 1.3 mi newly rerouted FR043.

The Beaver Ranger District of the Fishlake National Forest is preparing an environmental assessment to analyze the potential effects of thinning and burning within the 42,900 acre South Beaver project area.

In accordance with mining law the Fishlake National Forest is preparing an EA to evaluate the potential effects of mining the Jim and Iver claims as described in the plan of ops. This include reopening a collapsed adit and taking geologic samples.

Promote aspen regeneration. Thin and salvage conifers.

This proposed 600 kV direct current transmission line is designed to carry renewable energy (primarily wind power) from generation sources in central Wyoming to markets in in the pacific southwest

The Fremont River Ranger District is proposing timber stand improvement treatments and salvage of dead and/or dying trees to reduce undesirable species, improve species diversity, and maximize successful reforestation.

Construction of a fish barrier to improve the security of an existing native Bonneville cutthroat trout (BCT) population. The fish barrier is proposed for construction on the lower end of the North Fork of North Creek.

Reconstruct the existing 20ft X 20ft hydro Plant #3 building to approximately 35ft X 20ft and upgrade the current generator to a Pelton Generator.

The Richfield District Ranger is evaluating a proposal from Canyon Fuel Company LLC, Sufco Mine, to conduct a high resolution seismic reflection survey to identify potential faulting adjacent to the current Sufco underground mine operations.

Expand Bowery Haven Resort facilities to meet demonstrated public need. Proposed expansion includes new construction or expansion to the following: employee housing, laundry building, picnic pavilion, cafe, general store, RV park and water pipeline.

The Fishlake National Forest is proposing stand improvements or wildlife habitat improvements designed to remove undesirable conifer cover from encroached habitats.

This proposed 500 kV transmission line is designed to deliver power to Rocky Mountain Power utility costumers in Utah and the intermountain west. Generation sources are located in central Wyoming.

The Utah Division of Wildlife Resources is proposing to construct 2 fish barriers as part of Bonneville Cutthroat Trout restoration efforts utilizing natural materials. The FS and DWR are working together to implement conservation of native trout.

Mechanical treatment (i.e., chain harrow) of sagebrush communities in various areas totaling approximatley 5000 acres on the southern portion of the Fillmore Ranger District north of I70.

The Fishlake National Forest, Fremont River Ranger District is proposing to reduce conifer canopy cover within sage-grouse seasonal and lek sagebrush habitat.

As part of a Fish Lake Resorts llc. master development plan, the permit holder has proposed to upgrade an existing lodge into a two story "eight-plex", expand the existing RV parking area and add a small external outbuilding for equipment storage.

The Natural Resource Conservation Service (NRCS) is proposing to install a SNOTEL weather station in the headwaters of Chalk Creek for the purpose of monitoring snow depth, snow water equivalent data, precipitation, temperature, etc.

Small diameter encroaching Pinyon and Juniper removal on 3,503 acres using non-commercial tree cutting, followed by seeding newly exposed ground with native brush, grasses and forbs

Remove, pile and burn small diameter ladder fuels pinion and juniper on approx. 2,673 acres of the Dixie NF's on Boulder Mountain North Slope and limb large diameter ponderosa individuals along various project area routes to create shaded fuel breaks

The purpose of this proposal is to: Manage the timber resources on lands suitable for production of saw timber; Use prescribed fire to reduce fuel buildup and meet resource objectives; Improve age class distribution and maintain species diversity.

Treat vegetation to improve stand structure and diversity, improve spruce resilience to insect and disease,improve aspen regeneration, and provide a wood fiber product for public use.

The proposal consists of two stand improvement treatments: Noncommercial tree cutting and prescribed fire. A stand improvement is an intermediate treatment made to improve the composition, structure, condition, health, and growth forest stands.

Authorize excavation of aggregate material at the previously reclaimed splatter Canyon Gravel Pit, improve 1/4 mile of road from Forest Road #036 to the pit for 2-way traffic, and operation of a temporary asphalt plant adjacent to the pit

SUFCO Mine has requested approval to expand use under an existing special use permit through the addition of 19 acres for coal load out facilities and coal storage piles. This action would allow for coal segregation by quality to meet customer needs

The Fillmore Ranger District has received an application for a Special Use Permit from Millard County for the purpose of constructing and maintaining a debris basin on National Forest System lands in Dry Creek for the purpose of flood control.

Installation of a chlorination system including burial of 500 gallon propane tank, concrete vault, and non-reflective fence covering an area 20 feet by 22 feet.

As required by the Federal Onshore Oil and Gas Leasing Reform Act of 1987 the responsible officials of the Forest Service and BLM will evaluate lands administered by the Fishlake National Forest for oil and gas leasing.

Request from Millard County to obtain rock material to construct gabions and other erosion control devices to be used to protect municipal water developments and associated structures.

This project would use mechanical treatments and fire to reduce fuel loading and decrease fire danger on approximately 4000 acres of NFS lands. The vegetation type to be treated is pinyon/juniper along the north slope of Boulder Mountain.

Ecosystem restoration project aimed at improving native species diversity, improving wildlife habitat, and reducing hazardous fuel loadings adjacent to the mountain communities in Salina Creek and Accord Lakes.

Relocate the Sand Creek Trailhead from current location approximately 0.7 miles along existing road to the NE. Project proposal is in response to public concerns over current location and conflicts between land owners and user groups

Treat approximately 955 acres of burned timber within the Twitchell Canyon wildfire perimeter to to accelerate the recovery of the project area from the impacts of the Twitchell Fire.Proposed treatments include timber harvest and reforestation.

Joseph Town has identified a current and projected future need for additional water storage to ensure consistent water supply for its customers. To meet the storage needs installation of a 200,000 gallon storage tank is being proposed.

The Utah Division of Wildlife Resouces has proposed construction of a fish barrier in Clear Creek on the Beaver Ranger District to aid in the restoration of native Bonneville cutthroat trout.

The Fishlake NF is proposing to issue a special use permit to the Natural Resource Conservation Service (NRCS) to install a SNOTEL site in Sunflower Flat on the Boulder Mountain. The weather station will be used to collect hydro-climatic data.

Construct one mile of fence and add a water distribution system to allotments on Monroe Mountain for the purposes of improved livestock distribution, increased rangeland rest, and decreased browsing impacts to aspen.

Establish a new trailhead to access the High Ranger Trail. Current access requires hikers and equestrian users to cross a busy highway on a blind corner. Proposal is to move trailhead near existing parking area that is safe and convienent for users.

The BLM received a request to add 20 acres to coal lease #UTSL-062583. Authorization of the requested modification requires consent from FS with required non-mineral resource protection stipulations.

Construct a new 345 kV transmission line connecting the Sigurd substation located near Richfield, UT to the Red Butte substation located near Central, UT.

Maintain 4 springs to meet state water quality standards, add 5th spring to the system to meet use needs, replace water delivery line from springs to city and add a storage tank/treatment facility to the system.

Proposal would be to harvest a locatable mineral using surface mining techniques affecting approximately 35 acres of National Forest System lands. Operations would include development of a haul road and material transfer area

The Forest Service was a cooperating agency, assisting the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) in that Agency's geothermal leasing analysis and decision. The BLM issued a record of decision on 12/17/2008.

Construct 180 foot tall free standing tower and equipment on Triangle Mountain to provide wireless service along Interstate 70 and surrounding area; includes approximately 3 miles of power line.

Installation of 2 stream structures to create barriers that limit non native fish movement into Bonneville Cutthroat Trout habitat.

Provide protection for and increase regeneration of the Pando aspen clone. Project may include fencing of stands to protect regenerating aspen suckers and aspen regeneration techniques to promote new growth.

Existing pipeline that transfers water from the South Fork of Beaver River to Little Reservoir is deteriorating and needs to be replaced. Replacement pipe would be laid in the existing corridor.

Commercial salvage and sanitiation of spruce beetle infested and and adjacent uninfested trees necessary to control the spread of beetle outbreak within approximately 244 acres in the Dry Hollow drainage of Circleville Mountain.

Hazardous fuels reduction project

The project would develop Swift Spring and distribute the water, via pumps and pipes, to several new and existing cattle watering locations across the Kingston and Foreshea Alloments.

Induce aspen regeneration due to current stand mortality.

Prescribed burn within 5,169 acres and mechanically treat 578 acres with Dixie Harrow. The proposed action is designed to reduce hazardous fuels within the area, restore aspen ecosystem health and regeneration and improve wildlife habitat.

Fillmore Ranger district proposes provide water sources on National Forest System land, away from Interstate 15, reducing the number of elk and deer encroching on the Interstate, resulting in reduced big game/vehicle accidents.

Install 5-10 wildlife guzzlers across the Cedar Mountain area to provide enough water to support deer, elk, turkey, chukar and grouse. Guzzler installation would consist of catch apron approximately 20 feet of pipe and a trough.

This project would treat approximately 3650 acres (3036 prescribed fire and 615 of mechanical) to reduce fuels near private property and a Forest Service Guard Station. Merchantable timber could be commercially removed.

Project would upgrade existing road/trail to provide a shorter and alternate access route from SUFCO Mine to Hwy 10. Appx 2.4 miles of 28' wide pavement across National Forest System lands and several miles of Public Lands administered by the BLM.

The project would evaluate the environmental effects of reissuing 10-year term grazing permits to continue to authorize grazing on eleven grazing allotments on the Beaver Ranger District in central Utah.

The project would improve management and enforcement of the off-highway vehicle travel policy on the Forest. This will include a Forest Plan amendment.

This project would designatte two wireless telecommunications sites, along I-70 between Cove Fort and Fremont Indian State Park, with primary purpose of serving cellular, personal communications services and enhanced specialized mobile radio.
