Replacement of a existing AT&T tower

The primary purpose of this project is to expand snowmaking within the existing Mission Ridge Ski Area boundary to cover the popular and sun-exposed northeast side of the Mission Ridge Ski Area.

The purpose of this project is to implement a project approved in the Mission Ridge Master Plan EA to install a new chair lift within the existing special use permit and ski area boundary (ref. pg. 16, 1.2.3.3 Bowl Four Lift -now called Chair 5.

Short Term Recreation Event Special Use Permit reissuance for Yakima Ski Benders Little Naches Poker Run.

Owners of Recreation Residences in several Recreation Residence tracts and YMCA Camp Dudley have submitted applications for various repairs and alterations to their privately owned structures to ensure safety, accessibility and regulatory compliance.

Removal of hazard trees in administrative and developed recreation sites on the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest. Sites would include tree removal in campgrounds, at trailheads, day use areas, guard stations and other admin. & developed rec. sites.

U.S. Border Patrol proposes to install radio repeaters at existing communication sites on McClure Mtn, Sweetgrass Butte, North Twentymile Peak, and Slate Peak.

White Pass Company (WPC) proposes to expand its existing High Lodge (doubling the size of the alpine lodge) and constructing a new Guest Services building at the Base lodge.

Tree planting may take place in both the Muckamuck and Walker fire areas. Tree planting would take place in areas that burned at a high severity that are not regenerating naturally.

Restoration project to increase forest resiliency, restore aquatic resources, and maintain public access within the larger context of the Little Naches Watershed.

Salvage harvesting to provide for public safety along roads and utilize the economic value of the timber in accessible areas that burned at a high fire severity as well as treat existing fuels and those created from salvage harvest activities.

Develop non-motorized trails for horseback riding, mountain biking, and hiking in the North Summit area on the Methow Valley Ranger District.

The intent of the proposed project is to remove the lower 2.8 miles of the 7100-000 road from the transportation system and provide access from 7101-000 to the upper 3.9 miles of the 7100-000 road by constructing a new trail in a better location.

Project authorizing a special use permit for the installation of a 30 foot guyed tower, 2 - 2ft x 2ft x 6ft electronic/battery cabinets, a 12inch x 10 foot pedestal with solar panel, propane tank, and 6 kw generator at a previously used location.

The project proposes to excavate an existing high flow side channel on lower Nason Creek and install wood complexity to provide year round side-channel habitat for fish that provides cooler water habitat during the hot summers.

Icicle Peshastin Irrigation District (IPID) needs to construct a new bridge in this location to allow for heavier loading. The new bridge will be wider and longer.

Installation of wood and boulder structures to increase the quantity and quality of pool habitat that was altered by floods in the recent past. Includes installation of wood structures and boulder placement, and decom of 750 ft of road.

Permit for KOHO Radio communication site tower and for an ice bridge to protect wiring.

The project intent is to remove two culverts on closed roads, 6210-120 and 6210-160, and improve a bridge on 6210-000 to improve aquatic organism passage.

Replacement chair lift in the same alignment as the existing Chair 2. Chair 2 replacement lift would begin in the same location as existing Chair 2.

Issue a permit for another term for an exisitng electrical transmission line that crosses National Forest System lands and supplies several substations with electricity.

Replace collapsed, burned bridge on Pacific NW Nat'l Scenic Trail that crossed an unnamed creek in a deep ravine.

The National Park Service and Fish and Wildlife Service are preparing a North Cascades Ecosystem Grizzly Bear Restoration Plan and Environmental Impact Statement to determine how to restore the grizzly bear to the North Cascades ecosystem.

Re-route 0.5 miles of the Pacific NW National Scenic Trail from private land to National Forest land, entailing construction of a log bridge across Cougar Creek.

The Land and Resource Management Plans of combined Okanogan and Wenatchee National Forests are being revised as required by the National Forest Management Act. The focus is to update parts of the plans no longer current and requiring change.

Loup Loup Ski Area management have proposed several improvements to the ski area, including a new day lodge and expansion of the equipment rental building, camping facilities, and other changes.

Replace aging towers in MVCD permit area with 100-ft tower to provide for safer operations with adequate space for existing and future operations. No new frequencies or tenants would be added in this project. Work will be completed by tenant NCIData.

Re-install five campsites with CXT toilet and parking facilities in Beth Lake Campground in location of former Upper Beaver Lake Campground area.

Issuance of a new 20 year special use permit/communications site lease to the new facility owner.

Okanogan County Public Utility District (PUD) proposes to bury 2200 feet of an existing aerial powerline under an existing roadbed to protect it from damage.

This project proposes renewing five 10 year prioirty use permits for Outfitter and Guide services on the Wenatchee River Ranger District. Two permittees also operate on the Entat R.D. and are included in these renewals.

Authorize special use permit for a 13 mile and 50 mile running race on existing roads and trails in Whistler Canyon.

Culverts will be pulled from two spurs off the 6210 road in order to improve aquatic organism passage opportunities. Prior to culvert removal road maintenance levels will be converted FR 6210-120 (est. 1 mile) and 0.5 mile of 6210-120 from ML2 to ML1

Frontier Communication proposes to add fiber optic to the existing underground utility line located within the Forest Service right of way within Second creek

Bonneville Power Administration proposed to remove approximately 15-20 trees that interfere with radio communications at their tower site on Tunk Mtn to maintain and improve communications.

Chelan County PUD proposes to install a power and communication line in 50 foot long trench on U.S. Forest Service property at the Chiwawa Hatchery.

Repair the damaged portions of Forest Service Road 1901. The damaged sites are at mile post 6.9 and 7.2.

Authorize a special use permit for a recreation event involving a trail race in Whistler Canyon.

Relocate the existing Sno-park at Bonaparte Lake Campground to FS Road 3200-030 to provide adequate parking and sanitation for winter recreationists.

Propose to utilize a 4.5-5 acre open meadow as a formal winter sno-park at the forest boundary near Eagle Creek and Van Creek adjacent to the 7520 road.

Replace the Lyman Lake Bridge with a new log stringer bridge.

The intent is to implement a set of treatments that rely on the principles of landscape and stand-level restoration ecology while meeting current direction. Of the 105,288 acre watershed area, approximately 20,563 acres are on NFS lands.

Funding from the Washington State Recreation and Conservation Office to replace a bridge on the historic Naches Pass Trail, in the Naches Ranger District, was returned after the scope of work increased beyond the grant amount. CE not needed.

Replacement of failing sewer system with vault toilets

This project will place large wood in Box Canyon Creek to help restore an at risk watershed. Approximately 360 pieces are proposed and some wood will come from hazard tree removal at East Kachess Group Campground and Kachess Campground.

Vegetation management will address landscape departures from historical conditions. Includes timber harvest (1,700 acres), ladder fuel reduction (330 acres), precommercial thinning(150 acres), and fuels treatment (3,400 acres).

The project consists of the removal of an existing steel communications building and tower with guy wires and the installation of a new steel facility of the same size, a free standing tower, and concrete slab.

Issue temporary recreation event and outfitter guide permits for operation on the Methow Valley, Chelan, and Tonasket Ranger Districts for the 2019 summer season.

Addition of a 0.5 mile nonmotorized winter trail connector route to the Bumping Winter Trail System for skiers and snowshoers.

This project proposes the replacement of deteriorating bridge abutments, rotting columns and failing approaches on 3 different bridges within the district.

Non-native mountain goat removal to address resource and safety issues on the Olympic Peninsula. Goats could be removed from the Olympic National Park and Forest. Goats could be translocated to Mount Baker-Snoqualmie and Okanagon-Wenatchee NFs.

The project will open up FS RD 4930-118 Box Canyon Creek,for use as a secure stockpile site for the Box Canyon Creek bull trout habitat restoration project. The road will be brushed and a gate installed. This gate will be removed upon completion.

Whitebark pine grows on top of Bonaparte Mountain. Other species such as lodgepole pine grow in the same area and compete with whitebark pine. Releasing the whitebark pine would improve growth and wildfire survival of the population

This proposal would issue a modification to an existing 5 year permit for Kongsberger Ski Club to add a previously non-commercial event to the commercial rec event list. Increasing numbers now requires them to obtain an event for this youth ski race.
