Mapleton Irrigation Company proposes to improve their existing irrigation canal in Maple Canyon to improve efficacy and reduce future maintenance and erosion risks.

Project would remove a small portion of rocks to improve visibility and safety near area known as devils elbow.

Create a bench access road from the Collins service road to the top of the Race Course ski run, terminating near the winch post. This bench will allow snowcats to access and groom the Race Course ski run when needed to disperse the density of skiers.

Project would expand wildcat base pumphouse, install 2 new pumps, and relocate existing snowmaking infrastructure affecting up to 0.30 acres

Remove large rocks and rock outcroppings at the entrance to the Devils Playground and reduce the grade of the terrain to improve intermediate skier access and safety, particularly during storm periods or periods of flat light.

Improve stream and riparian habitat using low impact methods along Saddle Creek.

The cabin on lot #8 of the Birch Glen tract was demolished in 2017 due to the extremely poor condition of the cabin. The owner of the demolished cabin has proposed to build a new cabin at the same site. Lot is located in an RHCA.

USU has submitted a proposal on Logan Ranger District for a climate monitoring station at Dewitt Springs and the addition of telemetry stations at Blind Hollow,Temple,Right Hand Forks to increase efficiencies at existing climate monitoring stations

A recreation event permit for the 3D Archery Shoot held on the Salt Lake RD. Competition and related activities are hosted at Brighton and Solitude Resorts. Participants ride Solitude and Brighton lifts to the top of the ski areas and hike down&shoot

We are proposing to decommission two high elevation dams. The strategic decommissioning of these dams would promote a balanced ecological landscape, while allowing forest resources and conservation efforts to be focused on more important projects.

Project would improve Boreal toad habitat in 2 locations on the Ogden Ranger District by improving pond and riparian habitat at Buck Spring and Davenport Spring

Project would improve Columbia Spotted Frog Habitat on three ponds the Heber-Kamas Ranger District by improving pond and riparian habitat at Boulder Creek above Highway 150.

UDOT proposes to install an automated weather station approx. 70' off of the roadway on SR-144 below Tibble Fork Reservoir. This station would be used for winter snowpack and weather record keeping to assist with avalanche forecasting for AF Canyon.

The project would restore stream and riparian areas by extending and constructing a pipeline to draw livestock away from sensitive areas. Project would not alter or cancel existing rights or authorizations.

Proposal would replace wires and towers over 2.25 miles in North Ogden Canyon

RMP alter 4 sections of powerlines, placing 3 underground and adding covered conductor to another. This will remove the powerline from USFS lands in one section. Project will reduce potential for wildfire ignition or to be affected by wildfires.

Renew 6 expiring forest-wide priority use permits for ten years. The new permits will have their user days adjusted based on the use clause in the original permits. With reduction in days, 1 other district permittee was offered a forest wide permit.

These two universities have operated on the UWC in the past, without proper authorization. The special uses team has been working with all local universities to get the proper permits in place.

Forest Service alongside Utah Division of Wildlife Resources propose to install four 1800-gallon guzzlers with associated aprons and fencing on Dry and Loafer Mountain to provide perennial, reliable water sources for wildlife.

Project would authorize the proposal to install an approximately 625-foot by 125-foot exclosure fence around a wet meadow area to protect sage-grouse habitat in the Little Valley Allotment, Vernon Management Area.

Project would implement sanitation harvest on live and dead trees, improve stand and ecosystem health, and reduce fuel loading to reduce risk of Balsam Wooly Adelgid and improve stand conditions across 250-acres in Snowbasin Resort

The Forest Service is responding to an application from Santaquin City to construct two debris basins on National Forest System Lands as part of a larger project to protect homes and development from flooding and/or debris flows.

Project would reduce safety concerns by expanding water distribution off of FS Road 042 in the Streeper Creek South Alloemtn.

Proposed project would treat up to 36008 acres using hand and mechanical treatments and prescribed burning to reduce accumulated fuels, improve stand conditions, and improve wildlife habitat. Up to 201 acres of roadless would cut/pile/burned.

Alta has proposed to expand the Albion Day Lodge to the east of the existing building. Up to a three-story building is being contemplated. Alta and its architect will work with the USFS and Town of Alta in the design of the building.

Remove junipers in Logan canyon and Lefthand fork by lop and scatter, lop and pile burn, and mastication over 2867ac to reduce the risk of wildfires on surrounding communities, while also restoring age class and structure of the vegetation.

The UWC proposes to complete fuels reduction and vegetation treatments in the Strawberry Ridge project area to reduce fuel loading and better meet desired future conditions. Proposed work would occur both in and out of roadless areas.

Project would reconstruct an existing water transmission line and redevelop the associated spring collection infrastructure, at White Rock Spring.

Forest Service alongside Utah Division of Wildlife Resources propose to restore shrublands burned by wildfire in crucial winter range in the Diamond Fork area via scalping, seeding, and shrub planting to promote healthy big game habitat.

Proposal to construct approximately 1 mile of new access road, across the Ashley NF and UWC NF, and then begin small-scale hardrock mining operations for decorative calcite on the Ashley NF, near the headwaters of Iron Mine Creek.

Snowbird proposes to install 1.4 miles of snowmaking pipe in Mineral Basin on existing, previously disturbed Lupine Loop and Bird Nest ski trails. The snowmaking pipe installation would result in approximately 7 acres of disturbance.

Snowbasin to reconfigure and expand Bear Hollow run by reshaping and recontouring to allow more natural movement. Project would affect up to 3 acres

Replace the existing Becker Ski Lift in similar alignment to existing.

Snowbasin to fill in the grotto which is at the bottom of the Bear Hollow run. This fill-in will alleviate congestion problems and help provide safer uses.

Snowbasin to grade skiers left hillside with the cut material moved to the downhill side of the road to expand the overall width of the run to create safer runs and less congestion.

Relocate the Ski School Conveyor and construct a new conveyor to provide access to better beginner/learning terrain at Albion Base and reduce snowmaking requirements. Reroute hiking trail, remove old conveyor base, and reclaim disturbed areas (.75ac)

Project would construct a 0.23 mile reroute on the Lake Desolation Trail equaling to improve safety and reduce erosion.

Construction a new 0.15 mile trail to link the upper and lower sections of the Pipeline Trail to address safety concerns at the Elbow Fork Trailhead.

The proposed action is to construct a 10,000-square-foot equipment storage building northwest of the existing vehicle maintenance building along the northern edge of the Albion parking lot to increase on-mountain storage.

Proposed Action is to create benched trails along Catherines Traverse, Thirds Traverse, and High Traverse for better snow retention, maintenance, terrain access, and snowcat access to So Long ski run affecting 1.6 acres

Brighton is proposing to improve the existing Alpine Rose building affecting less than 0.5ac

Install a new six-passenger chondola from the base area to the Snake Creek Lodge and develop an additional beginner area with two teaching carpets and re-grading a steep portion of the Scout trail.

Brighton is proposing to install 138 light poles to light an additional 45 acres of existing terrain primarily served by Milly Express, allowing the resort to operate an additional lift during evening hours. Ground disturbance would be up to 1 acre

Brighton is proposing to analyze approximately 7.5 miles of trails to augment the previously approved 4.5 miles of trails.

Snowbird proposes to replace the Gadzoom chairlift with a detachable six-passenger chairlift in the same alignment as the existing and construct a chair storage facility at the top terminal, while removing hazard fuels.

Snowbird proposes to replace the Mineral Basin Express in the same alignment as existing, with a detachable six-passenger chairlift and raise the top terminal by approximately 6 feet to a similar elevation as the existing Summit Restaurant.

Beginner terrain improvement on three existing trails, including additional grading and widening. Two carpets would be installed along with a pre-approved sprung structure between Last Chance Lodge and the vehicle shop. Affecting up to 16ac

Solitude proposes a combined sewer, power and water utility line, from the Last Chance Lodge to the On-Mountain Yurt. The sewer and water lines would be in separate trenches, follow NorthStar and cross Mill B South Fork Creek.

Solitude proposes the construction of a small shed to house waste and an existing generator. The shed will have an approximately 2,000 square foot footprint and take place on entirely previously disturbed lands.

The NRCS proposes to install a SNOTEL site at the existing Mill Creek snow course. The site would be 150sqft with a 20 ft meteorological tower, precipitation can, snow pillow, precipitation gage, and electronics shelter.

UDOT proposes to install four Wyssen Towers and associated equipment on National Forest System lands near the summit of Mt Superior in Little Cottonwood Canyon for avalanche control necessary to protect traffic on State Route 210.

Proposed project would thin up to 246 acres of overstocked mixed conifer in previously harvested stands located on the Logan District to increase stand health and vigor and reduce the risk of mountain pine beetle infestation.

Project would construct a new access road affecting up to 0.6 acres to two culinary water storage reservoirs and would restore the existing 1.6acre access road. Access to existing ROW will be blocked by future development.

To maintain the waterline, project would replace 4.6 miles of the South Oak Brush water transmission pipeline and redevelop two existing spring collection areas on the Vernon unit of the Spanish Fork Ranger District

: The proposed project would extend the existing Red Pine trail to follow a social trail up to Gloria Falls for up to approximately half a mile to reduce impacts to sensitive resources.

Proposed scientific snow instrumentation and monitoring activities to be conducted under a special use permit at monitoring sites within in the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest in or near Logan Canyon, Utah.

The UWC proposes to complete fuels reduction and vegetation treatments in the Anadarko project area to reduce fuel loading and better meet desired future conditions. Riparian and stream channel restoration would also occur.

The Forest Service proposes to improve existing allotment infrastructure by constructing 17 new ponds (each up to 0.1 acre) on the 13,650 acre project area within the Whitney Area on the Evanston Mountain-View Ranger District.

Project would install 4025 linear feet of snow fencing to reduce wind-driven snow drifts along US-89 in Logan Canyon.

Project would construct 0.77 miles of connector trails allowing access between the lower and upper parcels of Santaquin City to connect the trails between the two parcels.

proposal to remove hazard trees, enhance Aspen stands, complete small wood thinning, adjust existing piles, and restore stream and riparian habitat on 1,744 acres to ensure continuity of treatments, improve habitat, and reduce fuels in Upper Provo.

Project proposed to improve communication services in the Silver Lake Area of Big Cottonwood Canyon via buried fiber lines under Nordic Trail Lane and to the south of the Visitor Center parking lot for a total of 300 linear feet.

Project would replace the existing culinary water collection & transmission system in Maple Canyon to replace existing system. Project would temporarily affect Mapleton roadless area via overland equipment and truck access.

Solitude proposes to construct an aerial adventure course and a tubing hill uphill from the Moonbeam Base Area, between Last Run and Hal's Hollow ski trails.

The trail would be 2.7 miles long, with an average tread width of 5 feet, Brighton has proposed a mountain biking trail starting at the top of Majestic lift and ending at the bottom of the Great Western lift.

Alta has proposed to construct a buried 1-to-2-million-gallon tank to store water for snowmaking. This tank would be located adjacent to the existing 100,000-gallon Quincy Mine tank and tied into the existing snowmaking system.

The old Snow Cup service road would be widened using cut and fill to allow snowcats to access and groom the Race Course run terrain with less required snow on the ground.

Solitude proposes to improve its existing snowmaking infrastructure system through the expansion and improvement of Stilling Pond, the construction of two new snowmaking valve houses, the implementation of new snowmaking pipelines and coverage.

Snowbird proposes to replace and realign Wilbere lift. The proposed lift would be a fixed-grip, top drive quad approximately 2,500 feet in length with a vertical rise of approximately 750 feet.

Snowbird is seeking Forest Service approval to install the RACS known as a Wyssen Tower. In total, Snowbird proposes to construct 23 Wyssen Towers (fifteen on NFS lands; eight on private lands).

Improve range infrastructure on four allotments on the Heber-Kamas Ranger District. Improvements would consist of improving water systems and infrastructure, adjusting existing fencing, and expanding an existing corral.

Proposed project is to repair and improve facilities at and adjacent to Pineview Trailhead and Port Ramp within existing recreation sites, make road improvements and connections, and to construct a new parking area.

Replacement of an existing water transmission line serving private property in Bear Trap Fork of Big Cottonwood Canyon.

Ski Utah has proposed to increase the area where they can guide skiers. The addition will assist with the logistics of their "interconnect" and allow for operation when the Highway 2 Heaven is closed.

UDWR and FS propose to install two wildlife guzzlers in the northern Stansburys adjacent to existing guzzlers. Existing guzzlers are running dry early in the season due to drought and high usage.

Reroute approximately 0.30 miles of the Great Western Trail in Mill Creek Canyon to move it away from the riparian area and lower the overall trail grade.

Project would extend Bonneville Shoreline Trail roughly one quarter of a mile east into Big Cottonwood Canyon, to use Dogwood Picnic Area as a trailhead. The Decision Notice from 2010 identified Oakridge as the trailhead.

Remove encroaching conifer in aspen stands and riparian area of Spawn Creek. Subalpine fir/Douglas fir < 20" diameter at breast height (dbh) would be lopped and scattered, 21-35" dbh would be girdled and left standing, > 36" would be left in place.

Most of the channel realignment project is on private land, but the upper approximate 100 feet lies on the USFS. Realignment of this upper section is necessary to achieve the alignment that will make the rest of the channel system properly function.

Pleasant Grove City proposes to rebuild their G monument, which is in disrepair and is contributing to an impaired viewshed, soil erosion and unauthorized social trails. It's on the hillside east of town between Battle Creek and Grove Creek trails.

Brighton proposes to replace Crest Express with a new lift constructed in essentially the same alignment. The new lift would be an efficient Doppelmayr D-line six-passenger detachable chairlift.

Snowbird proposes to construct the Cirque Traverse Skiway which would extend off the existing mountain road that leads to the Cirque Traverse trail.

The decommissioning and rebuilding of a storm damaged recreation residence in the Firs Tract.

Stabilize the river bank and protect from further erosion by installing approximately 165 feet of rock rip-rap and willow pole plantings along the west bank of the Provo River in Pine Valley, located NE of Woodland, UT.

Snowbasin Resort has proposed to place two Gaz-ex exploders at the top of Mt. Allen for the purpose of avalanche mitigation and operation of the tram in years of heavy snowfall.

Modify the old Ballroom access road to a constant design grade of 7.7% to eliminate the need for skiers to check their speed and better manage snow cover on the traverse. Modification would be completed by cut and fill.

Snowbasin Resort has proposed to install snowmaking equipment along the Boardwalk route between Bullwinkle run and the top of wildcat. The site will be accessed by existing roads and all materials will be transported via that road system.

Solitude Ski Resort has proposed to remove the old Eagle Express chairlift and replace it with a new detachable quad lift. The new lift would be located in a similar alignment.

Modify the High Mambo ski run to reduce the pitch and blind spots which have resulted in serious injury to skiers. The project would include filling a depression at the bottom of the run and removing a hump in the middle of the run.

The Brighton has proposed a mountain biking trail that would be 2.7 miles long, with an average tread width of 5 feet, starting at the top of Majestic lift and ending at the bottom of the Great Western lift.

Solitude proposes to construct approximately 11 miles of mountain biking and hiking trails located on NFS lands and adjacent private lands between the Roundhouse Restaurant and the Moonbeam Base Area.

Alta proposes to construct a new ski patrol building approximately 90 feet North of the existing structure, and to use the existing structure for storage. The footprint of the new building would not exceed 750 square ft.

Alta proposes to place fill on Sunnyside run between the summer road and Albion Meadows trail to reduce the grade of the Sunnyside run below the summer road.

Alta proposes to develop the snowmaking corridors necessary to provide a base for groomed run skiing from the top to the bottom of the Supreme lift, extending from a vault south of Alf%u2019s Restaurant to Cat Track below Grand Junction.

Project adds 2,471 acres to the original 200 acres of shrub planting area south of Vernon near the Benmore lek to improve critical nesting habitat for sage-grouse. Habitat loss in the area has put the sage-grouse population at risk of extirpation.

Interstate Irrigation and Reservoir Company has proposed reconstruction of a stream diversion on Burnt Fork of Henrys Fork River, which currently divers irrigation water into an unnamed ditch. The new diversion will include a fish screen.

The Forest Service is proposing to convey the encumbered land, approximately 0.05 acres to the University of Utah, for fair market value. Proceeds from the conveyance will be retained by the Forest and used for other acquisition.

Restore 2,981 acres of native shrub species in the Sheepcreek area to address threats to crucial winter foraging area for deer, elk, and moose.

AT&T proposes to construct a wireless communications facility (90 feet by 25 feet fenced enclosure, 80-foot Monopine antenna, equipment shelter, generator, and propane tank) at Snowbasin Ski Area, adjacent to the Skyline-Great Western Trailhead.

Rocky Mountain Power will convert overhead power lines to underground lines from the Forest boundary below Pineview Dam along Rt. 158 including lines to three recreation sites: Windsurfer Beach, Port Ramp Marina, and Ogden Pineview Yacht club.

The first 0.5-0.7 mile of the Kirkman Hollow trail will be reconstructed to restore better grades and trail stability.

The Heber-Kamas District is planning to construct a 1.0-mile fence on the south side of the Currant Creek Developed Campground to prevent permitted cattle on the Currant Creek livestock allotment from entering the developed campground.

The Heber-Kamas District is planning to construct a 0.5-mile fence on the south side of the Ledgefork Developed Campground to prevent permitted cattle on the Weber River livestock allotment from entering the campground.

Alta proposes adjusting an existing service road to create a more functional route that bypasses the concentration of cabins in the Albion Alps subdivision. The route adjustment would be made on NFS land and Alta's private property.

Alta Ski Area proposes to re-route the lower part of the Rock n Roll ski run to bypass campsite #9 in the Albion Basin Campground.

Solitude proposes to upgrade and realign the existing Down and Out mountain biking trail and build two new trails: an uphill mountain biking trail and a multi-use trail. A pump track between the Down and Out and the multi-use trail is also proposed.

Proposal to use commercial timber harvest (salvage sales) to remove the dead overstory, reforest with spruce seedlings where needed, and close the no longer needed roads. This DNA is tiered to the original North Heber Salvage Project EA.

Payson City will construct a new buried 12.4 kV electric transmission line. Proposed right-of-way is approximately 2500 feet in length and 20 feet in width, along the Forest Boundary in section 21.

Proposal to masticate approximately 2,747 acres of Juniper within a 3,780-acre project boundary to provide protection of habitat from high intensity wildfire near the Hardware Ranch Wildlife Management Area.

Proposal to construct a utility right-of-way and widen the existing Albion Basin Road (National Forest System Route (NFSR) 028)to improve access to the proposed Patsey Marley Hill Property and Subdivision.

This is a continuation of an existing special uses permit for a competitive race that has been in place for approximately 25 years. It takes place on designated trails and roads over the course of 2 days on the last Friday/Saturday of September.

The existing special uses permit allows for 3 yurts to be located and rented on National Forest Lands at Green Canyon. This is a modification in the permit to increase service days by 20 percent and add 600 days to allow for summer use of the yurts.

Proposal to reroute a segment of trail to address resource damage including constructing 1.5 miles of new trail and removing 1 mile of old trail.

Proposal to construct shaded fuel breaks to break up the continuity of unhealthy stands, connect natural barriers to provide protective buffers around infrastructure and assist with fire suppression efforts.

Proposal to reconstruct 0.7 miles of the North Fork Loop Ski-SNO-3409 trail.

Proposal to add 2 more directional loops to phase 1 in the Slate Creek drainage area. This will be a 9.2 mile, class 3 trail system with an 18 inch tread. A 0.4 mi access trail will also be constructed from Yellow Pine trail to Yellow Pine Campground

Alta Ski Area proposes to remove the Albion Chairlift. The Albion lift is a fixed grip, center pole chairlift that was installed in 1976. It is rarely operated and maintained only to provide capacity if the Sunnyside lift breaks down.

Alta Ski Area is proposing a phased installation of Remote Avalanche Control (RAC) devices on Mount Baldy for avalanche mitigation.

Solitude Mountain Resort is proposing to improve the skiing experience and snow surface quality in the Apex Express terrain pod by widening Blue Spruce ski trail and adding snow making infrastructure along the north western edge of Blue Spruce.

Brighton Resort will reconfigure the teaching area around the Explorer Lift and Magic Carpet to accommodate the increased needs for beginner terrain.

Proposal to connect the existing Snakepit Trail to the larger Albion Basin trail system.

Proposal to construct 1.14 miles of trail on Forest Service Land between the Farmington City and the Forest Service parking area for the existing Upper Farmington Creek trail.

Proposal from Union Telephone Company to install buried conduit for telecommunication cables (fiber optic) connecting existing infrastructure in Summit County, Utah. Cables will be installed in the UDOT ROW and NFS lands.

Proposal to groom non-motorized snow trails with a snowmobile. Grooming will occur on designated winter trails during low use times. Parking will occur at the Bear Lake Overlook and Limber Pine Trailhead.

Proposal to conduct geotechnical investigations using a large truck and drill rig on USFS property including three boreholes that will extend into the earth approximately 45-60 feet deep. The bore holes are between 4-6 inches in diameter.

Proposal to commercially remove dead overstory trees greater than 8 inches within 241 acres of spruce-fir stands between Lost Lake and the Bald Mountain Overlook to improve soil, water, and vegetation conditions within Upper Provo Watershed.

Proposal to install approximately 2.3 miles of new conduit along the National Forest System Road (NFSR) 010 and FR 008 to Silver Lake Flat Reservoir and 2 cellular antenna nodes (35-foot tall poles).

Proposal from Castle Rock Land and Livestock, to reconstruct a water transmission line in Barlow Canyon. Activities include trenching and installing two new HDPE water transmission lines, a 12 inch irrigation pipeline and a 3 inch stock water line.

Proposal from Rocky Mountain Power (RMP), to reconstruct and relocate portions of the main electric transmission line in Big Cottonwood Canyon. The project will mitigate wildfire hazards posed by the current transmission line.

Harvest approx 53 acres of dead standing trees greater than 8 inches dbh. Cut trees would be skid to landing areas and hauled to a nearby mill. No temp road is expected, although some renovation of about 0.35 miles of an admin FS Rd would be required

Proposal from Rocky Mountain Power to rebuild and relocate portions of the electric transmission lines in Mill Creek Canyon, in order to mitigate wildfire hazards posed by the aging line.

Proposal to improve the trail alignment and increase safety for trail users. Last year multiple rockslides occurred on the old route and even as the Utah Conservation Crew was working this season, rockslides continued.

Solitude will realign the existing conveyor, maintenance road, and containing rock wall, as well as regrade the project area. The project will increase on-snow skier circulation and availability of terrain.

The proposed action is to restore wetland areas at 6 sites at Alta Ski Resort. This project is part of the wetland mitigation required by the Army Corps of Engineers for wetland impacts that resulted from the Albion Parking Lot expansion.
